Dr. Lauren Berman is a self-proclaimed voice nerd. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Loyola University New Orleans where she quickly fell in love with teaching and became curious about the vast world of vocal pedagogy. After receiving a Master's Degree (MM, Chicago College of Performing Arts, Roosevelt University) and Doctoral Degree (DMA, Arizona State University) in vocal performance, she realized the importance of continuing her education in order to be the best possible resource for her students.
In addition to the great benefits of Vocology in Practice Membership, Lauren has also become certified Level 3 Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method Teacher, as well as a Level 2 Certified Heather Lyle Vocal Yoga Method® Teacher to further expand her resources and knowledge as a teacher. As a performer she has worked primarily in opera and musical theatre, but loves helping singers to unlock their potential in all styles. Some of the companies she has worked with include: The Phoenix Theatre Company, Arizona Opera, New Orleans Opera, /kor/ productions, and Arizona Regional Theatre.
