Steff Fish
Guildford, UK
Steff has been performing, songwriting and recording music for nearly a decade, including multiple festival performances and tours across the UK with the band, Giant Walker and previous projects. Under the guidance of leading vocal coaches - Joshua Alamu, Chris Johnson, Kaya Herstad-Carney and others - she achieved a BMus in Music Performance, specialising in Vocals, with First Class Honours. Since moving into teaching, Steff has been keen to constantly expand her knowledge, qualifying as a Vocal Health First Aider and undertaking several courses across a wide range of Voice Science including Acoustics, Feldenkrais, Neuroscience and more.
With her experience in performance, songwriting and artistry, along with her knowledge of the voice, Steff is well equipped to understand the various demands that contemporary singers face. Steff regularly coaches a wide range of clients in all contemporary music styles. Her passion is giving singers the freedom to explore their stylistic identity and helping them to find their own sound without limitations such as range, power, flexibility and more. As all voices and singers are unique, Steff customises her approach to every student, not only in consideration of their goals but also in their vocal habits.
Steff is dedicated to her ongoing study of Voice Science, regularly attending events, lessons, courses and conferences within the industry and keeping up to date with the latest research. Steff is delighted to be an authorised member of the elite international network of voice professionals, Vocology in Practice.
