Aliki Katriou

Aliki is a human with a love for singing in all its varieties, especially extreme vocals. A soprano, she started classical singing lessons at age 16, which she continues to this day. Realizing early on that classical technique couldn't produce some tones that interested her, Aliki took contemporary singing lessons in a variety of styles and trained as a singing teacher with New York Vocal Coaching and Vocal Process. She has extensive knowledge of classical techniques, contemporary styles, and extreme vocals. Constantly expanding her knowledge of voice, Aliki has trained in Vocal Massage and Laryngeal Manipulation with Stephen King and Walt Fritz. She is in the process of completing the full vocal health course with Dr. Jenevora Willams, Stephen King, and the team from Vocal Health Education.
Aliki is known as the vocalist and lyricist for her band; Eight Lives Down, as well as the critically acclaimed Greek metal project Desolate Plains. In addition, she is the lyricist and female voice for Tattered Pages and AKKT. To date, she has released 6 albums with these bands, and her vocals have been featured on numerous other tracks.
