Crystal Barron

Crystal Barron is a somatic vocal coach, singing voice specialist, vocologist, and USC faculty member whose work bridges artistry, science, and somatic awareness to support sustainable and expressive vocal performance. She is dedicated to helping singers, songwriters, and professional voice users cultivate authenticity, resilience, and joy in their creative practice.

Holding certifications in multiple cross-disciplinary modalities, Crystal’s comprehensive coaching model integrates bodywork, MDH Breathing Coordination, TRE® (Tension and Trauma Release Exercises), Laryngeal Massage, and trauma-informed coaching frameworks. Her work emphasizes the interconnection of mind, body, breath, and voice — empowering artists to unlearn restrictive habits, build self-trust, and communicate with clarity and emotional depth.

Clare Silver

Clare is the Education Director for ViP, where she curates ongoing professional development and educational experiences for a global network of vocal coaches. A particular passion of hers is guiding and mentoring coaches in pursuing their goals, navigating career pathways, and supporting them in expanding the possibilities they see available to them.

Alongside this work, Clare runs a busy private voice studio and has taught across college-level education in the United Kingdom. She currently  teaches and mentors on the BA programme at WaterBear College of Music.

A graduate of the London Studio Centre, Clare enjoyed an international performing career.  Having experienced the realities of touring, residencies and the demands placed on professional vocalists first-hand, she brings a grounded understanding of the challenges singers face in sustaining both their voice and artistry in real-world performance environments.

Across a vocal coaching career spanning 28 years, Clare has witnessed many evolutions of her craft while remaining steadfast in her commitment to providing artists with a fully rounded coaching experience that supports them in navigating the wider music industry. Her particular interests lie in exploring artistry and creativity, helping singers discover the infinite array of sounds available to them and finding authentic ways to express them.

Since 2020, she has served as an authorised instructor and board member for Vocology in Practice. She is also a qualified Vocal Habilitation Professional, a Mental Health First Aider through MHFA England, and is currently undertaking accreditation in coaching within the music industry.
