Crystal Barron

Crystal Barron is a somatic vocal coach, singing voice specialist, vocologist, and USC faculty member whose work bridges artistry, science, and somatic awareness to support sustainable and expressive vocal performance. She is dedicated to helping singers, songwriters, and professional voice users cultivate authenticity, resilience, and joy in their creative practice. 

Holding certifications in multiple cross-disciplinary modalities, Crystal’s comprehensive coaching model integrates bodywork, MDH Breathing Coordination, TRE® (Tension and Trauma Release Exercises), Laryngeal Massage, and trauma-informed coaching frameworks. Her work emphasizes the interconnection of mind, body, breath, and voice — empowering artists to unlearn restrictive habits, build self-trust, and communicate with clarity and emotional depth. 

Crystal will demonstrate how somatic principles can be integrated into real coaching sessions, allowing participants to observe her work with singers in the room while applying concepts and tools in real time within their own bodies.

Dave Stroud

With decades of experience coaching some of the most talented and successful voices in the industry, Dave has shaped the sound of performers across every genre. His expertise spans from Broadway stages to arena tours, studio sessions to high-stakes televised competitions.

Dave has worked with up-and-coming artists, refining their voices for major tours, recording sessions, and global recognition.

He has lectured at some of the world’s most respected institutions, including Stanford University, USC, Berklee College of Music, the San Francisco Conservatory, the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Dave continues to provide vocal coaching for elite programs and management teams, shaping the future of the industry and empowering the next generation of vocal talent.

Clare Silver

Clare is the Education Director for ViP, where she curates ongoing professional development and educational experiences for a global network of vocal coaches. A particular passion of hers is guiding and mentoring coaches in pursuing their goals, navigating career pathways, and supporting them in expanding the possibilities they see available to them.

Alongside this work, Clare runs a busy private voice studio and has taught across college-level education in the United Kingdom. She currently  teaches and mentors on the BA programme at WaterBear College of Music.

A graduate of the London Studio Centre, Clare enjoyed an international performing career.  Having experienced the realities of touring, residencies and the demands placed on professional vocalists first-hand, she brings a grounded understanding of the challenges singers face in sustaining both their voice and artistry in real-world performance environments.

Across a vocal coaching career spanning 28 years, Clare has witnessed many evolutions of her craft while remaining steadfast in her commitment to providing artists with a fully rounded coaching experience that supports them in navigating the wider music industry. Her particular interests lie in exploring artistry and creativity, helping singers discover the infinite array of sounds available to them and finding authentic ways to express them.

Since 2020, she has served as an authorised instructor and board member for Vocology in Practice. She is also a qualified Vocal Habilitation Professional, a Mental Health First Aider through MHFA England, and is currently undertaking accreditation in coaching within the music industry.

Allie Moss

Allie Moss is an artist, musician, and vocal coach with over 20 years of experience teaching voice across a range of styles and professional contexts. Her work integrates technical consistency, artistic intent, and the real-world demands of performance and recording. 

Alongside her teaching practice, Allie has extensive experience in both live and studio settings. Since 2006, she has been a core member of Ingrid Michaelson’s band, performing internationally and appearing on live television and radio. She has also toured with A Great Big World, William Fitzsimmons, Joshua Radin, and Rosi Golan.

In recent years, Allie’s work has expanded into production and engineering. She has produced multiple released songs for other artists, with an emphasis on vocal production and helping singers carry their artistic identity into the recording process.

Allie is committed to ongoing education and takes a whole-singer approach to her work. She views singing as an athletic practice that integrates mind and body, and her teaching prioritizes sustainable technique, artistry, and long-term vocal health. She also co-leads Thinking Outside the Blocks, a creative community supporting songwriters through education, structure, and collaborative growth.

Steffi Romero

Estefanía Romero is a singer, composer, vocal director, and speech-language pathologist specialized in voice. With over 20 years of experience in the music and performing arts industry, she has worked with some of Latin America's most recognized artists and performed on prestigious stages in the United States, Argentina, Israel, and beyond. Her unique combination of artistic excellence and scientific knowledge in vocal health has established her as one of the most sought-after vocal coaches in the region. She has participated in international tours, television productions, and global projects — building a sustained and distinguished career that meets the highest standards of artistic recognition.

Dolly Kanekuni

With 32 years of experience in vocal coaching, Dolly Kanekuni brings a wealth of knowledge, artistry, and leadership to her work. Her foundational training on Seth Riggs’ Speech Level Singing Education Management Team, set the stage for a career devoted to vocal excellence.

As President of Vocology in Practice (ViP), Dolly leads a global network of elite voice professionals, guiding the organization with a clear vision for collaboration, innovation, and career development. She is also an authorized ViP instructor, helping to shape the next generation of cutting-edge voice teachers.

A seasoned music director and a lifelong performer, Dolly brings a deep understanding of the stage to her coaching. With a passion for nurturing each client’s unique artistry, she integrates evidence-based technique and stage readiness skills to develop vocal freedom, confidence, and joy.

Based on the island of Kauai, Dolly draws daily inspiration from its natural beauty, infusing her teaching with calm, creativity, and a holistic perspective that empowers every singer she works with.

Dorothy Coleman Pincus

Dorothy Coleman Pincus uses a holistic and integrative vinyasa yoga coaching style that centers on the motto: "The voice is the whole body." Her approach, often referred to through a mix of her Yoga Speaks Volume-LA, VIP and Yoga Alliance which blends traditional vocal science with physical and holistic wellness.

She applies evidence-based vocal science to assist students in enhancing their range, pitch, and projection while preventing vocal strain.

Sessions incorporate breathwork, sound baths, and somatic movement to regulate the nervous system and calm the mind, which she views as vital for optimal vocal performance.

Trained by mentor Leonard Reed, she instructs students to sing with the natural ease of speech, emphasizing the use of falsetto and the mixed voice.

Pincus provides coaching tailored to diverse requirements, including Professional performance, Coaching Private clients, Schools Districts in California, Corporate and Professional Speakers building confidence cultivation, therapeutic recovery, and Holistic Wellness.
