In 1995, after suffering a serious head injury that paralyzed a vocal cord and interrupted her professional singing career, Vanessa Purdy discovered Dave Stroud, Seth Riggs, and Speech Level Singing where she became not only a Level 5 Certified Speech Level Singing Instructor, but also a member of the prestigious Instructor Management Team (IMT). As such, she served others by teaching Speech Level Singing method to not only vocal students, but to voice teachers throughout Arizona, across the country, and around the world.
Vanessa has furthered her study of the voice and vocal pedagogy by becoming a Vocology in Practice (VIP) authorized instructor. She puts her study into action, working tirelessly with all levels of singers. Today, combining her 22 years as a performing artist and over 20 years as an educator, Vanessa is recognized as one of the Southwest's premier vocal instructors and vocal rehab experts, helping singers worldwide reach their goals. Vanessa\’s passion is to continue to bring top-level vocal instruction to life for others.
