Our 7 Principles: A Holistic Framework for Vocal Education
At Vocology in Practice (ViP), our mission is to empower voice professionals and singers through a well-rounded, science-informed, and artistically supportive approach.
Central to this mission are our 7 Principles, a comprehensive framework that guides all our educational resources and inspires our teachers to deliver teaching that supports the whole singer.
These principles serve as touchstones for every lesson, resource, and mentorship interaction we offer. They encourage voice teachers to consider not just the mechanics of singing, but the full context in which a singer grows—technically, artistically, emotionally, and professionally.
Whether you're a seasoned voice teacher or an emerging vocal coach, these principles help shape a balanced, flexible, and ethical approach to voice education. They’re not rules—they’re foundations for thoughtful, responsive, and impactful teaching.

Meet Our Science, Medical & Health Advisors
Here at ViP, we're honoured to have specialists at the forefront of their respective fields to guide and advise our research and who are always eager to connect with vocal specialists in all our 7 principles across the globe.
The Non-Profit 501(c)3 structure of the ViP network enables progress and keeping up with the science, knowledge and variety of techniques and styles in singing. With the best professionals on board and singing specialists of all genres, we keep our network well-informed and share through weekly articles, an annual education event exclusive to our members, and public events. We keep the structure dynamic by allowing board members to take part for 2 years at a time and by voting together every term for a new chairman to lead us forward.
